Ham Fest??

Does anyone know when there will be a Ham Fest in or around the Charlotte/Salisbury/Hickory area???

The annual Charlotte Hamfest - at the Merchandise Mart on Independence Blvd - is March 12 and 13.

Everything is indoors, including the flea market.

From Statesville, take I-77 to the Brookshire Freeway eastbound, follow around Charlotte, and pick up Hwy 74 East / Independence. Once on Independence, the Merchandise Mart will be on the right about a mile.

Are you going to Charlotte Jeff?

I think I may actually get off work to go, it's only been four years :x

I'm going to try to make the Sunday session, if I'm not working that day.

We always get together with the wife's family for every birthday and holiday ... my wife's birthday is the beginning of March, and I'm the beginning of September ... so scheduling for the Charlotte and Shelby hamfests is always a bit tricky.

Next weekend, we celebrate my wife's birthday with the family on Saturday, so, hopefully, Sunday is open.

"Word" is that the Shelby club is concerned about the hamfest there this year. The owner of the fairgrounds wants to make significant increases in some fees, such as the daily campground space fees. I hope they get things worked out without having to move, as the Rock Hill hamfest has.

The hamfest in Salisbury is july 2. If it works out I may get a table at Salisbury to sell some of the stuff I don't use anymore. I'm going to Charlotte on saturday.

Ham Fest

The best Ham Fest for North Carolina is the one in Shelby. It is one Labor Day Weekend.

You will find all sorts of good bargins and vendors, unlike the other area ham fests.
