Narrow band is starting to make its way out and more and more freqs are narrow band. I know most ham radio don't do 7.5 khz steps. Doses any one know if radio with 6.25 khz steps such as Icom Ic-t90a will it still be able to input narrow band freqs with 7.5 khz step?

Thank you

It depends on where the frequency falls. Some will get close enough to get a signal, some will be too far away. The VHF high band is strange about the way the frequency steps up from 154.145 to 155.775 or so. If you step at 12.5, it will be off when you cross the 155.000 area. I checked my Icom V82 and it only has 5khz and 12.5khz. Thats why I have been acquiring some newer public safety handhelds for the new split freqs. I have two mobile radios at the rescue squad that won't do narrow band and are bookends at present.
