Ham radio store

Speaking of ham radio, there used to be a Ham radio store in
Laurel, MD on MD198 several years ago. I got so used to calling
it the "Candy Store" I forgot it's name. What is it's name and
is it still there? If not, where's the closest ham store, not a
Radio Shack, to Glen Burnie?

The shop on 198 is long gone. I work with someone who helped run the place... sorry to see it gone even though I was never able to shop there since it closed before I moved here.

As far as I know, there isn't another shop anywhere near here.

I shop HRO either online or run up to their New Castle, DE store when I'm in the mood for a drive.

Unfortunately, the ham store off of Falls Rd in Baltimore is also gone.

I think the one in Hagerstown is still there.

Yeah, the store on 198 was Maryland Radio Center, and the owner has left for greener pastures by opening a company called Xenocode which specializes in HAM and weather software for very specific applications.

Timonium. Lemme see. Isn't that in March? Dang.
