New Fire Department radios are coming to Hamden. Story in the New Haven Register today reporting Hamden received a grant to totally upgrade the system with 55 new portables and 20 new main units for the rigs. Didn't say if they are getting a new frequency or if it will be analog or digital but it will be something to watch for in the coming months. They expect to be up and running by early next year.
