hey guys: i have a question on the two uhf paging channels of 460.300,460.500. how does the radio traffic come thru the channels are they transmiting on the 800mhz and then is it going thru the uhf system . or are they tranmiting on the uhf to the 800mhz system.

Probably direct from the dispatch console to the UHF repeaters and the 800 MHz system at the same time via separate audio paths. Sending audio for paging through the 800 MHz system would degrade the audio enough that the pagers would not work.

i found out they send the 800 mhz system traffic thru the uhf system. also note if you hear no traffic that means they only have one fire desk going
