So initial FCC apps by Thanksgiving give or take a week lol? And then they will show up in the actual FCC DB around New Years.. Seems to be perpetual backlog with that agency.

Also do you know if you are going for STA's initially or outright new licenses?

No colocators

Seems to me the addition of colocators could help offset the cost if not make residual revenue. Some is usually better than none when it comes to money. Or do they just strike that provision when a sweet enough deal comes along?

Often those clauses are removed via mutual agreement once the right deal comes along. Typically a tool to make sure each side gets a taste of the cookie.

Other times it is a flat "no" to avoid liability.

Time will tell with this one.

Will start looking.. Approval should happen by November, though nothing will show up on radar in the FCC DB till..... February? LOL. There are still approvals for narrowbanding, and so on for stuff that was done almost an year ago lol.

OK just noted that the STA system will share the IDPS ZC, so this will make the STA system for the time it is testing, IDPS System 1 Site 2? At least for the Public Safety side. I am assuming that once you guys get the full system going and approved and built, you will then move to your own ZC and disengage from the IDPS except for the ISSI and patches to allow seamless interop correct? And of course you will have SAFE-T P25 ISSI and patching as well. Will be interesting to see how it all fits once its all up.

It is to my understanding that the IDPS”MECA” will be the main controller for both Marion and Hamilton not just for the STA duration.

LOL In that case we need to rename this the Hamilton/Marion CountyTRS, or Central Indiana Regional TRS lol... Because if you use the IDPSC Zone Controller, then it will not be an separate TRS, but indeed one system. Like was originally in the plans put out. IDPS will now have 2 sites for its system 1, and if they go all out, 2 for system 2 as well. Site 1: Marion County Simulcast. Site 2: Hamilton County Simulcast

Thanks for the update. Things seems to be happening quickly now. 2.5 months until it goes live. So if the new Hamilton County system is site 3 of the IDPS system, is it a Motorola type II P25 or P25 Digital XT? I'm currently getting a CC on 852.7750

I thought it was going to be P25 Phase 1, since that is the system used by IDPS. A Moto type system would be mixed analog/digital which is not compatible with IDPS.
