"Starting Monday, February 1 you can sign up for an emergency notification service that will give you instructions on what to do to be safe.
Think of it as the 911 system working in reverse. Dispatch supervisors at the Hamilton County 911 District can use a system by a company called 21st Century that sends out up to 60,000 15-second messages per minute by phone. That's 60,000 telephones a minute getting an emergency message. The information gets to you right away as the situation develops".
