Hamilton HSR - DMR Tier 3 - Uniden 325P2 issues

Thanks for trying. I would have the same request for 996P2. With Uniden focused on selling their new radios I fear our hopes for that could be dim.

One thing that might help determine what it was we are acting for. Could some one with DSD let us know if it is a RAS system like Mobile Business in Toronto?

I can hear other Toronto TierIII but this one with RAS will not work on 996P2 and I have tried multiple lcn orders based on DSD and Radio Refernece to no avail. Sit on a channel it decodes but it does not trunk track this while BCD436 does with no problem. RAS is listed on the last 996P2 firmware so should work

Thanks. That settles it. The 996P2 and 325P2 are not tracking systems using RAS even though firmware updates clearly indicate the should. The HSR and Toronto's Mobile Business TIII are both RAS systems and both demonstrate the exact same issues

Capacity Max systems have RAS enabled by default out of the box. I had a system local to me and I saw the exact same issue.... 325P2 refused to play nice with it. My SDS100 has no issues...

I wish they would fix the 325P2 or the 436HP. It's too expensive to keep buying new hardware all the time when they have a faulty implementation to begin with!

My x36's work just fine on a Tier 3 system. I tried my 325P2 and it worked on this same system also.

Do they have RAS enabled? -- What firmware version on your 325P2?

Run Analyze, LCN Finder, does you scanner find the same LCN's as what is listed in the database?

If the database is incorrect, please advise so we can fix it ASAP.

Newest firmware on sds x36 996p2 325p2
Same LCN in all 4 scanners and the system is a 5 site TAIT

Tait doesn't have RAS (a Motorola proprietary feature), so this is not the droid you're looking for.

It looks like all the LCNs are the same. It still won't track the trunk however. Could it also be a simulcast type setup?

When I utilize DSD and The 325P2, it's the same LCN's. It has RAS enabled, which according to others in this thread is what's killing it. If I park on one of the audio channels, I can hear both time slots without issue. But letting the scanner "scan" results in absolutely nothing by deceased batteries.

How's that work? For DMR, DSD+ uses slot numbers, but scanners use channel numbers, no? So how can they both be using the same numbers?

Did the 436 find these Channel ID's in the Analyze setting to find LCN's?

I am sorry, I misunderstood the difference between LCN and Channels... I assumed we would be looking for the frequencies...

As for the 436... I don't have the DMR upgrade on it since it returned from Uniden Repair... and I just don't want to spend the money again for a new key as the serial number has changed.

Can I do that with the 325P2?

They should fix that for you free as stated by upman you have a record when they changed it so they should issue a new key.

UPMAN fixed my DMR Key issue I am very appreciative!

When I did the LCN Finder, this is what was saved...

1022 - 410.7875---- CC 0
1046 - 411.0875---- CC 0
1082 - 411.5375 ----CC 0
5 - 411.6375 cc - CC 0

It now is scanning as DT3/CON at the bottom... Will wait to see if any audio.
