So, I got bored last night and looked up Hamilton on TAFL- does anyone have a clue what the following is for? (or what transmits around this range?)

Transmit Receive Location Name Coordinates Callsign Date Distance (Km)
0.3790 0.3790 HAMILTON, 080450925 INDUSTRY CANADA 43.2611, -79.8344 CII916 1994-05-15 3.1
0.3790 0.3790 HAMILTON Hamilton Specialty 43.2619, -79.8344 1986-05-05 3.1
0.3900 0.3900 HAMILTON, 080450925 INDUSTRY CANADA 43.2611, -79.8344 CII916 1994-05-15 3.1
0.3900 0.3900 HAMILTON Hamilton Specialty 43.2619, -79.8344 1986-05-05 3.1

Thanks

Google "Hamilton Specialty" and you'll come up with a steel company in Hamilton.

Chances are they've got some form of device in the process that uses RF.

That pasted data doesn't appear to be in the form that Spectrum Direct offers - they don't offer lat/long in that format.

Looking it up on Spectrum Direct shows that these are two separate channels for Crane Control at 0.08 watts.

EDIT: Hint - set the TAFL search on Spectrum Direct to include the "licence number", then take that number back to the main page and do a licence lookup on "Virtual Licence" in the "Account Information" section. The Virtual Licence is an exact PDF copy of the actual radio station license, and has significant detail not contained within the regular TAFL searches.
