Hearing a couple of agencies on ORION for this training I haven't heard before, Accomac County Sheriff's Office boat and Camp Peary Boat. Wonder if Northampton County Sheriff's Office is involved.

Hmmm. I wonder if it means Accomac & Northampton counties are looking to join ORION. If so, there would be a tower or two built on the eastern shore. Camp Peary? Wow; whodathunk our local "puzzle palace" post would pop up?

hearind the same and seeing HUGE coast guard plane flying low near my house. real loud, low hum to the plane. was circling the horizon the other day during this training. also helicopter but not sure whose it was.

Ehhh, maybe. I've just never heard them involved in this training exercise. Camp Peary has their own fire department right?

Yes, there is a large regional maritime exercise on-going which includes agencies as far east as Richmond.

Also, yes, Camp Peary does have it's own fire department.
