As part of their new communications system, HRT has 2 new voice freqs, one each for southside and peninsula ops. On the southside, comms have shifted to 460.425. Peninsula comms are now heard 451.125.

The old supervisor freq on the southside (453.375) seems to now be the digital (bus tracking & canned messages) link. This link will also be used at a few select locations to inform passengers when the next bus will arrive.

On 460.425, bus drivers can only speak to the dispatcher, not to other drivers. This may be a good thing as during peak times the old channels were quite chaotic, especially southside.

I posted the new freq a few days ago in the database, the 453.525 is supervisors/mechanics

Cool!

I recently stumbled on these as I had my portable on a bank programmed for southside VA; 460.425 is also South Hill PD. I then heard the peninsula ("northside") ops on 451.125. As I said, this is part of their new comm system recently installed. My XYL is a driver.
