Subject: Katrina Response Update.

I believe the event has crested. We have a long, long ways to go, but we are on
the downhill side. The overall population of evacuees seems to be dropping. Some
estimate we might begin really winding down in 30 days or so.

We have had a change in our Katrina Response schedule. We are no longer staffing
the night time shifts. Because the six hour shifts seem to be so well received,
we elected to move things around slightly.

Effective immediately, we will staff only two shifts, 7AM to 1PM and 1PM to 7PM.
That goes for both Transtar and Reliant City.

If you have signed up for a day shift, that remains scheduled, just an hour
different.

We still have many slots open. Please call Transtar and sign up. 713-881-3169.

We do not have good contact information for everybody, so please relay this
message far and wide.

Folks, the accomplishment so far has been described as building a city in 12
hours. That is, of course, impossible. But this community came together and made
the impossible happen. The community. You.
