This TG has been updated on the database as being used for the Life Evac helicopter. I heard much of the traffic (Saturday, I think) on which this was based, but think that 15-156 is actually a link to 155.205.

There was considerable problem in bringing about contact between the folks in the air and the folks on the ground, but I believe that Life Evac was trying to get through on 155.205 and it appeared to me that this was being patched to the actual units on the scene via 15-156.

We may want to look into the fact that there may be a more generic name/purpose for this TG.

I was also monitoring some of the air / ground communications and it wasn't pretty ... Hanover was trying to patch 155.205 to the TG and seemed to be experiencing a lot of problems establishing a successful link.

Not good when LZ's are being addressed.

RE: Hanover Co 15-156 Patch

Spotsylvania Co VA, which borders Hanover Co, also has an EDACS system. Spotsy uses 15-157, 15-156 and 15-155 for patches. Sometimes they work great, other times forget them. With AirCare 2 Medevac being based here is Spotsy, they finally are capable to communicate directly on Spotsy Fire/EMS talkgroups. LifeEvac 2, based just north in Stafford Co, still struggles with patches with Statewide EMS and the Fire/EMS talkgroup when it comes into Spotsy.

The same TG's roughly are used in Lynchburg/Bedford/Amherst for similar purposes. I keep Hanover in open mode, but this is only of very few new TG's that have come up.
