Hanover County snowplows--is there such an animal?

[n4jri]

Have been listening to the VDOT crews clearing snow in Hanover County on 47.12 [114.8], and was wondering whether the county might have any snow trucks of its own--possibly talking on the trunk.

Ditto for Chesterfield.

I doubt that they do. As the state code is written, ALL cities are required to maintain their own roads, and the option is given to counties to do the same. Only Arlington and Henrico Counties do this, however. Therefore, it would make sense to hear Richmond, Henrico, Colonial Heights, etc with the plows using the TRS, while Chesterfield and Hanover would be either on the VDOT or business freq's.
