Happy to be here! Newbie question about bringing in freq.

my neighbor gifted me with a sears citizen band radio which was new in 1980. the model # is 934.36390602. it has 15 channels but all i'm interested in listening to are fire, rescue and police. I'm located in new jersey, mercer county, hopewell township.
could someone verify for me the frequencies for my area? the code book i have is from 1980!

Hi and welcome to RR.

The frequencies you want are:
154.13000 for Fire dispatch
453.37500 for Police dispatch.

Unfortunately, you aren't going to be able to hear these with a CB radio. You need a real scanner for that...
