Sounds like a virus... If your browser is getting redirected thats a good sign of a bug in the system.

Scan with a good antivirus, i recommend Avast. Also you can download and run ComboFix to fix any host file problems as well.

Stay away from file sharing sites, they almost always have bad stuff imbedded in their files.

I had such a bad virus last year I had to completely repartition and reformat my HDD. It would not let me run any anti-virus program.

Combo Fix is a very powerful and dangerous to the basic user program. Combo can ruin a Windows Installation easily for someone who doesnt know what to click.

Hitman Pro ( http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads ) is a much faster and safer way to fix your PC but it is limited to a free 30 day license(unless you of course purchase a license). and it REQUIRES a internet connection to run.

either way, this particular error has me ROTFLMAO!! how could you possibly be booted fully into windows with a single harddrive and all of a sudden BOOM:

Hard Drive Failure Detected.... one or more of your hard drives has failed.... please restart your system.

hmmm lets see, i only have one drive with one partition, my system has not hard locked or thrown me a BSOD, i can still access all my data and information and programs....

what the hell kind of "Fool me up" error is that?!?!?!?!

here it is:
