hard time programming 996t

i have the arc 996 v4

i open the software then go to internet and open radioreference click everything i want then send it but it says nothing to scan..what am i doing wrong

Is everything locked out?
Are your groups/systems enabled?

Get a copy of Freescan I know the databse works w ith well with that software

ARC996 will work just fine - you have to understand how to use Dynamic Memory Allocation scanners. Without much more info here, I suspect you have not sat down and allocated systems, sites and groups, along with quick keys, which are vital to these type of scanners to tell them what to scan.

No matter what software you use, these new concepts must be understood. I would sit down with the Easier to Read manual for the 996, and keep our DMA FAQ handy - there's a lot of information there that the manual doesn't have.

thanks guys..ill try again tomorrow...im off for 14 days so ill play with it...
im used to the pro 96 and 2096 wich is a peice of cake i have 2 of each but i bought a 996t with the remote head for a cleaner install..
