Not sure if it is Okay to ask, if not, I apologize upfront.

Does anyone know if there is a way to listen to "Harris County Emergency Services District No. 7" or Spring Fire Department broadcast by itself?
Either by Broadcastify or similar or using a scanner of some kind for residential use?

I am aware of the following braodcast, however, it covers a very large area and I would like very much to hear Spring Fire EMS, especially during major weather events.
FIRE: Spring,Ponderosa,Klein,Champions, LittleYork, Cy-Creek,Cy-Fair,Jersey Village,Humble,Aldine, Eastex, Westfield, Nothwest,Rosehill,Tomball All FD's in Montgomery,Waller,Walker EMS: ESD-1(HCEC),HC ESD-11,Cy-Fair,Humble,MCHD,LifeFlight
Link: North Harris, Montgomery, Waller and Walker Counties Fire and EMS Live Audio Feed

Thanks :)

Spring Fire is dispatched on UHF COMM 2 (453.425) along with the rest of the "1960 area" fire departments. They have a tac channel which is NXDN, i forget which.. comm 18 maybe?

As for the EMS provider, ESD-11, they dispatch on LTE cellular and the only time you will really hear anything from them is when a fire dept needs to interop with them. I believe they have a talkgroup on TxWarn, as well as UHF repeater on the air, but I would not expect it to be very active.

COMM 2 is analog NBFM and can be picked up on a variety of very inexpensive scanners, the tac channels are NXDN digital and would require a more expensive scanner which could also pick up agencies on the 700/800 MHz P25 Phase I and II TxWarn system.

Stay cool, that's funny! I keep having to raise the heat index alarm on my weather station. It's now set to 124 since Tuesday and hasn't alarmed...yet. Raised the dew point alarm to 82 to keep it from going nuts.

While the live broadcast is great, it includes a wide area of receivers and does not include all the channels in any one area. I'm seeking to identify the actual frequencies and operational mode of the data presented in the RadioReference Harris County volunteers fire/ems Texas Emergency Communications Center (AKA Northcom). Only a few of the 18 channels work as presented.

Is there an updated method for a TRX-1 radio for this local area?

We are on Broadcastify streamed by our departments receiving point it is 60 to 90 second delay. Some of the 18 channels no longer exist of the 18 and we have been asked by other ESD’s not to stream their feed. West side Tactical channel is Comm 10, Comm 16(Central) Comm 18 is East side tactical, Comm 2 is our dispatch that is the only Non NXDN channel of Notthcomm channels.

Hopefully that answers you question
