Does anyone have the current frequency list for HCESD-1? Also, any suggestions for other fire/EMS agencies I should scan if I'm going to be in their area?

Thanks,
-Wes

Try this link:

http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=2623

If, for some reason, it doesn't work, go to the top of this page, click Database>The State of Texas (on the map)>Harris County (either the map of the county, or, go to the county listing and click on Harris)>the VFDs are 2/3 of the way down the page.

Hope this helps.

Looking at this link (this is under the Harris County database "Files"): http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?action=codes&code_id=1308 we see that HCESD#1 is Aldine, Eastex and Westfield EMS agencies.

Under the Harris County Communications Center frequency here: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=2623 we see that Aldine, Eastex, and Westfield EMS are dispatched by 155.3850MHz.

I live no where close to you so I couldn't tell you if the main comms are on the dispatch freq.
Close, but not quite. Eastex, Aldine, and Westfield are volunteer fire departments. ESD#1 EMS is the EMS provider for their territories, along with Northwest VFD and Little York VFDs' territories.

In any event, ESD#1 EMS can be monitored on 453.625 (143 DPL.) The VHF frequency is paging-only and only carries dispatcher voice traffic.

You may also want to listen to Northwest VFD (453.575), Cy-Fair VFD (453.6), Cy-Creek EMS (453.125), Cy-Creek VFD (453.3), Champions VFD (453.375) and Littleyork VFD (453.4625).

HCESD-1 dispatch on 453.625 repeater with DCS of 043.

As an additional bonus, "Critical Care 1", the PHI aeromedical helicopter for HCESD, also dispatches on this frequency.

Good areal coverage - I get the repeater full quieting on the other side of Houston.

Hope this is helpful.

Try removing the tones. I have found several tones from this site to be incorrect. When I removed them I suddenly started getting activity.

Tones

The only tones that work are the ones for 96. I have tried 92 and 93, both of these don't go off when 92 and 93 are paged. The point is not to listen, but to know when they are being paged, just like a two tone pager would.

Narrow v Wide

Thanks, I assumed that it would be narrow not wide because I thought that everyone would be switching over to narrow band soon because of something I heard somewhere. I will reprogram my radio and see if that works. Thanks for the tip. Also, it is interesting that these tones are according to PL TONES.html Quik-Call II (1+1) Tone Group 5 for all of the medic 91 - 97.
