Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare

Does anyone know what system the new Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare EMS is operating off of? They began operations today.

Last I heard they’re operating on LTE till the kinks get worked out. They might possibly patch to 453.3125 for fire but I have not checked myself.

Excuse the questions but I won't ever know if I don't ask.

What does ESD stand for?

Also in a general sense, what is this for? Sounds like it might be a specific EMS station positioned somewhere in Harris County and only services a specific area maybe? And if it is like that, do you know where we can get a map or layout of the various EMS stations and the channels they operate on?

Thanks! that prompted me to search for where the other ESD's are. I'm actually on the south side of Hwy290 so I'm outside of ESD11 area.

I did find this listing of the ESDs for Harris County but 11 isn't listed so I think it might be out of date.

I talked to the folks from Harris County ESD 11 at the Texas EMS Conference. I didn't think to ask about their radio system, but they are less than three months old and have spent a lot of time and money getting operational. They own 40 ambulances and are fielding 28. Plus of course supervisors and support staff.
