StarNET is a Motorola Trunk (this time I checked). The way trunking works (loosely, and not technically perfectly accurate) is that *control* channels "assign" transmissions based on the talkgroup and open frequencies. If you read your Pro-97's documentatation, I think you only need to program in the control channels for a Motorola Trunk. So, just for the frequencies, all you need to do is following the MOT Trunking instructions and program in "just" the control (read & blue) channels, and you don't have to skip channels in your scanner.
The challenge is programming talkgroups to follow the action. Not necessary, but really helps if you're not in Public Safety. The idea is to assign a text tag to a talkgroup ID so that you'll see "Katy PD Dispatch" instead of "002322" or something like that. Consult your manual.
I have some of the StarNET banks on a spreadsheet (I use Scancat Lite). Send me a message if you're interested and I'll send them.
Also review the Trunking Forums and the Wiki pages for much more (accurate) detail.
Good luck, Mike
