• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Harris no longer supports P7200?

I know that is old news but I’ve got a P7200 that needs #47 TDMA. My dealer that got me the #47 string for a P7200 back in 2015 is out of biz. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a Harris dealer that could get that #47 string for me, or is Harris absolutely not doing that anymore ? TIA

Harris is jumping ship with all these older radios. the ones classed end of life. You find new-old stock radios online, these will be another flood of them. Motorola, Kenwood, and Icom are doing the same thing.
I found a ton of obsolete softwares in the 'dark web'. It costs. Downside is documentation is the dinosaur.
Riverside county made a big change, Harris radios gone to auction and a truck load of manuals went to landfills and paper recycle.

That's nice they go back that far. If I could easily get wideband delete REMOVED from my 100M that would be great...

Good luck, it's not listed as an option and even as a Fed Gov't client I haven't been able to get them to remove it from the 100P for marine channel usage. Up till something like 2012 or 13 if I recall correctly they still had every FE radio to include the PCS listed for upgrade eligibility. Pretty cool that they still provided that level of support and they would tout it too in their quarterly journal! Once they switched to 80 bit feature strings that was well gone.

The last price sheet that looked at, didn't even have TDMA PHASE 2 listed as an available option to purchase for the P7200.

How were you able to get 47 on a P7200?? I thought there was only 1 firmware version of the P7200 that supported 47 and that was hard to find.

It's not but Harris will generate the FE under the same YRPL4F Option number for every other OMAP radio for the same $250 price.

I have had 47 added to P7200's using that same flash with no issue. When TAC issues the new FE they will provide the proper firmware if requested.

There were certain hardware versions of the 7200 that would do Phase 2 *without* option 47... That might be what you are thinking of. But as far as I know any 7200 with do Phase 2 with option 47 (and the proper firmware).
