Harris radio system/GRE 600 scanner

Sorry guys, here we go again. I have all the Bibb County frequencies working in my GRE-600 scanner. The Macon Fire Dept is on the new Harris system. Reception on the Harris is not working at my location with garbled audio most of the time. The old Motorola system seems to be superior to the Harris and I understand transmitters are on the same towers. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate the help. The new Harris is a simulcast system, which are notoriously difficult to receive well. There are reports the new Uniden units (the 436 and 536) are doing much better than the earlier generation scanners (aka the 600 and 800) with these systems, but there's plenty of other threads were you can read about that.

I'm not sure about the old Motorola system, maybe it's not simulcast?
