Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Okay so can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am trying to program the new Marin Emergency Radio Authority (MERA) system. I am not getting any traffic from the site ( I am trying to get the East Simulcast Cell to work, I feel like it has something to do with my trunked frequency sets. I believe I am supposed to either have a +45mhz offset or -45mhz offset. Unfortunately when have the positive 45mhz offset I keep getting a "Invalid Frequency value- Improper channel spacing" error. Then when I do the negative 45mhz offset I get an "Invalid Tx Frequency entered" which makes sense.. so at the moment have a positive 30mhz offset because the IDEN has a 700mhz freq in it and i figured i would try that.. that's probably wrong and I am new to programming trunked sites. let me know if any of you have thoughts, thank you for your time.Screenshot 2024-11-03 120724.pngScreenshot 2024-11-03 120745.pngScreenshot 2024-11-03 120803.pngScreenshot 2024-11-03 120823.pngScreenshot 2024-11-03 122913.png

Try changing to Fixed proscan instead of Enhanced CC. Harris radios dont like that too much when you have other TRS in the area. Double check your offsets. Add site 2. Its a simulcast system, the radio will switch between them depending on the strongest RX.

Awesome thanks for the reply. I have heard about the Fixed proscan.. ill give that a shot. Could you spell out what my offsets need to be? I think my dyslexia is getting the better of me. I appreciate your time!

Okay, so I turned on Fixed proscan and double checked my offsets, they're all +30mhz on the TX side. I also added all the non control channels to the trunked frequency set list and I have the CC limits set to the first 5 because they are the control channels. If you have any other thoughts lmk!
