I have an Uniden BCD325P2 and would like to moniter Biloxi and D'Iberville traffic. If I add the ProVoice upgrade, will that allow me to hear Harrison County transmissions, or are they encrypted?

I don't see any encryption noted in the database. So based on that you should be able to monitor the ProVoice TG's.

Wow, I did not know this. When I made the trip to Mobile, I thought Biloxi was encrypted. Thanks.

Minor point of fact, there are allegedly two simplex ProVoice channels that have encryption layered on top, available for investigations. No one I've personally talked with has had them in their radios, so the search has been fruitless thus far.

Is the control channel still 851.150000? I may have something going on with my antenna, I can't seem to get locked on. I'm running a sdr on my laptop it seems like my signal has degenerated since the bad weather Wednesday

It sure sounds like a control channel when I listen to it on another receiver.
I have not made any changes to my programming in 2 years or so, so however it was programmed in then (using Sentinel) is still working today.

On a trunked system, a radio has to be affiliated to a site for you to "hear" whatever talkgroup it is on. If no GPD radio has affiliated to the east simulcast, you wouldn't hear any GPD traffic.

More commonly, GPD radios affiliate to East all the time and it shouldn't be an issue. Make sure you have both simulcast cells programmed in as well as the proper dispatch talkgroup for GPD, 04-041. The other one listed, 06-082, is one I've never heard active at all.

Headed to Gulfport-Biloxi in a couple of weeks for our annual visit the SDS100 will get its normal program for there
It is still a very busy system so there is plenty to hear. Gulfport is wide open and Biloxi has a fair amount that is unencrypted as well.

I never hear Gulfport when I go there just Biloxi. Are they on Southern Linc or something like that. Maybe they don't repeat of the Biloxi tower?

Hmm I don't have any problems listening to Gulfport, or any agency for that matter on either Biloxi or Gulfport towers. When I'm in Biloxi or Jackson County I'll have my scanner monitoring only the Biloxi site with all of the agency talkgroups across the entire system and hear them with no issues. And when I happen to be over in Gulfport, or Bay St. Louis I'll set the scanner to only pick up the Gulfport site with the same group of agency talkgroups scanning and I hear them just fine.

What scanner are you using? How do you have it programmed for the two sites?

Would it happen to be for Cruisin' the Coast?

Everything on the db for Harrison County is accurate, you should have no problem provided it has the provoice added to it.

Everything is not accurate but I'm working through it.

I have found at least (I'm at work now and not near my list) 16 unidentified talkgroups on the system and a bunch more that may have BEEN used but are long gone. Last night, for instance, listening yielded Biloxi PD training and BPD Event-1....Which are not in the DB yet.
