Hartford Fire VHF Link?

does the VHF Link to hartford fire have tones?...or is it just broadcasted without tones?

Also....anyone know about Otis Elevator in Farmington having security and if they have radios?

In the past I have always heard the fire tones on 154.31
I have not listened lately so it's possible that could have changed.

i know they do the Simulcast with the trunked system, but i am not sure if they do tones of them either

Yes They Do Tone Out On VHF, I Have Heard It Many times. The City Edacs system Is Listenable But When I am Out Of range, 154.31 Comes In good 20/30 Miles Away From The City.

Should be noted that these are not your typical fire tones, they use a generic EDACS warble alert tone.

so if i programmed 154.3100mhz into a minitor, would i need tones for it or could i program it flat?

Program It Flat

However, it will only work in open monitor mode. If you put it in alert only mode it will never open up.
