Ok,this might be in the wrong forum but it is a industry question.
Has anyone tried to modify a pair of shoes to pass an ESD (electronic static discharge) test?
I'm trying to save a bit of money by experimenting with an existing pair of shoes so that I can get them to pass. ESD shoes are well over $100 if you can find them to begin with.
We have anti-static straps we wear but they are a pain and tend to slip, so grounding the soles with a braid or wire of sorts with the inside is the task at hand.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks!
