the best place to tap a discriminator on a BC296 yet?

I've done a google search and have only found one on the 250 but didn't want to take a chance on trying it on the 296 until it says its a 296.

Hardware-wise, the BC296D IS a BC250D. They are identical. It's only the firmware and some cosmetics that are different.

Try it - look at the 250 mod, and open up the 296D and see for yourself.

I hope your one year limited warranty has expired, if not ,it soon will!

oh well, it's only $500.00, if I break it I'll pay uniden to fix it......I did it on my pro 39, and 94 and never had a problem yet!!
