I picked up a Whistler TRX-1 scanner with DMR and NXDN to listen to some local Trunking systems using these modes. I used the TRX-1 software to load the different systems from the RR database into separate scan lists in the scanner. I have not heard St. John's Municipal Services or Mount Pearl Public Works and was wondering if anyone else has heard these transmissions? I know there is a chance that it could be a programming problem but the software should import them correctly and I am hearing other transmissions on at least one trunking system. I live between 6 and 10 km from the different transmitter sites and in the coverage areas. We had snow just a little while ago and I was trying to hear the snow plows but no luck.
I'm just checking first to see if anyone else is hearing these transmissions before moving on to checking something else like programming. Also I am receiving on the Bell Mobility site, just not what MP Public works. The software shows the correct talk groups I'm looking for in the programming (I didn't include here)
All are in the Avalon Peninsula, Newfoundland (St. John's/ Mt Pearl) area.

I do receive Wheelway Transit & Couriers on this Trunk system but not Mount Pearl Public Works.
This is not a DMR/NXDN system but Motorola Type IIi Hybrid analog.

BTW> The Whistler software has an X on the trunking system that it can't receive
and it won't let you upload it to you scanner if it's not a system it supports. All
systems above are shown as systems it can receive.
