Has anyone noticed that the Home Patrol was probably the first radio of the X36HP series, look on the main PC board by the PWR button.

This explains where they came up with the 436 and 536 designations. I wondered about that, why they were not 396HP and 996HP. I doubt that they had the 436 and 536 in mind when they designed the HP 1 though.

I think the 436 and the 536 show how the Home Patrol and the x96XT radios were merged into one platform that can serve users of many skill levels with one radio.
