Heard of them probably about 4 months ago. Haven't seen them in person though.

Kirisun is a pretty big company and has a good reputation. The Kirisun radios I've held at the trade shows were quite nice and seemed well built. I wouldn't rate them down with the Baefong and other low end radios, they are much better than that.

Check their website, I haven't been able to find a K800 model. Either I'm missing it (the website is loading slow here), this isn't on their site, or it's a "questionable" model. Doing a google search comes up with the e-bay ads and a few other non-Kirisun pages.

I'd be cautious about buying one off e-bay though. Too high a risk for a knock off.
True Kirisun stuff is pretty good.

It doesn't specify which "digital mode" it works with. I doubt P25, or else they would be tooting that horn...

It says in the listing FDMA, so........
Other than "Firmware programming mode",
there is no mention of programming cable or software.....

Too many unknowns..

Try the Connect Systems CS700 (UHF) or the CS701 (VHF)
DMR/Mototrbo and less than 2 bills.

I have the 700 and am very happy with it...

If you want a real radio, buy a real radio...

You get what you pay for with the chicom units.... The CS radios are not bad, but a real Moto, Thales, etc is going to eat its lunch...

They are great for play things but if you want something that is going to play in the real world buy a real radio....

If you want a real radio, buy a real radio... (snip) .

Valid points however I would like to mention the stock battery life on my Vertex DMR radios as well as my trusty old Motorola 6550 doesn't hold a candle to the CS radio.
Even when all radios have new factory batts.

And to me, battery life is paramount.
Intermod rejection isn't of too much importance due to my location,

That being said, If I were located in NYC or some other RF swamp,
I'd probably go with Hytera or such...
