Past few weeks the radio traffic has been way down. Don't hear the "responding" & "on locations" anymore but still pick up stuff like Central updating the units and individual chiefs. Just very quiet.

I'm not in the area and don't monitor Burlco, but may agencies up my way have an MDT-type device in the trucks to silently indicate their status.

It’s loud and clear where I am I’m hearing the responses

Everything seems pretty normal to me and I listen daily, but I'll pay close attention. There was one incident last night where I can definitely say I heard the responses of both Fire and BLS, units arriving and clearing. Again, when I listen this evening I'll be sure to pay closer attention.

Also, remind me what device are you monitoring with.

Turns out that after a year of receiving everything with the antenna mounted in the Livingroom window, I had to move it across the room and into the kitchen window. A warp in the space time continuum? I don't know, but something must have shifted in the atmosphere.

Yea that'll do it! I find that happens a lot with all my devices this time of the year. Something to do with the foliage of the trees? Not sure. I notice the same in the spring. All my "sweet" spots for any given system change. Are you picking up more activity now?

It's working for Fire/EMS, but I think I may have lost State Police.
I'll have to wait and see on that. I'm in a single story 2 unit apartment, so I can't mount anything outside.
Front half has the living room & kitchen and a high ceiling, no attic. Back half has an attic but direct lines to all the towers comes from the front so I don't know if sticking something better up there will accomplish anything considering that the signal would have to penetrate two walls now.

Tried 3 different scanners 2 digital & 1 analog. My livingroon has officially become a dead zone:(
