Has Harford pulled the plug on their UHF freqs?

I didn't get much of an answer when I asked this before, so I'll try again - the title says it all. I know that 460.6 and a 453 mhz freq was to be retained after the cutover, but has it happened yet? And if not, when is the new date?

Mike, the 460.6 Fire dispatch freq is still active. The old Aberdeen freq is still active too but seems to be broadcasting nothing but teletype type activity - license, registration checks, etc. Those are the only two I've heard so far since you posted your question with just a quick check. It appears the cutover/changeover has happened just on a gradual operational basis as they worked their way into the trunked system. There didn't seem to be a "magic" moment for turning one on and the other off. It seems to have been done wisely and efficiently.

Hmm, you would think Aberdeen would have moved off their old UHF by now; I'm guessing here, but I would think the fireground freqs that are still on the RRDB and the CHM page are still good? Or have they been phased out in favor of something else?

Mike, the old Aberdeen freq is still in use but I don't believe it's Aberdeen using it. I think it's the county using it. My immediate guess is that it simulcasts the 3904 talkgroup - but I'm not sure of that yet. As far as the old Harford County fireground freqs, those have been dead for a very long time because I've never heard anything on them. It looks like 460.6 is going to stay on the air.

460.600 will stay for ever.. Thats where the pagers and sirens will be toned out.. Probably will be like 33.74.. no monitoring just push F3 and send the call out.. Simulcast will die soon, maybe October 2005

Most of the old 400 Mhz frequencies are going to be used for mobile data.
That includes the old FD channel 2 and 3 freqs and the Old Sheriff Dept freqs.
Aberdeen, Bel-Air and Havre de Grace PD freqs may be included, depending on their participation in the mobile data system.
Testing of the mobile data system will be taking place soon.
