Because they want encryption. Why encryption on an EMS channel?
:rollseyes:Their lawyers probably told them that HIPAA requires it.
They have their reasons. Why encryption on an EMS channel?
And this is decidedly not one of them. :roll:Their lawyers probably told them that HIPAA requires it.
No it is not about live streaming.Their I saved you a ban.[emoji20]I can only speculate what motivated the encryption but if I said it I'd probably be banned
AES or ADP?As of Sunday, June 12th at 1000 hrs, Hatzoloh of Rockland now operates primarily on the 700 MHz Rockland County Public Safety Communications System, using full-time encryption on their talkgroup. 159.885 is no longer their primary dispatch channel.
Does it really matter what algorithm they're using?AES or ADP?
Oh yeah?Rockland is AES
1) Rockland's system is set up with AESFirst....Unless you have direct knowledge of what they are using, I wouldn't post what you apparently think they may be using. Second, the type of encryption they are using shouldn't be discussed in a public forum. And third, regardless of what they are using its intent is to not be monitored and the decryption of encryption communications without authorization is a violation of federal law. So does is really matter if they are using ADP, DES, AES, etc.?
