Haunted computer monitor

I have a computer monitor that like to turn itself back on after I have pushed the off button. This will happen from sleep sate or if I am not going to be using it I shut the monitor off but leave the computer on. Any ideas, I have googled this to death and found nothing but the reverse problem.

LOL, If it were to come back on I think I would be calling the Ghost Busters.

Some monitors are MADE that way. The monitor sees a video signal and turns it self on. And you do not 'have to call Ghost Busters' .

But I do not leave my computer, monitor or internet box on when not using them.

Look in the owners manual to see if there is a Wake setting. If Wake is turned on the monitor will start up when it seems video present. If you can turn off the Wake feature then the monitor will stay off when you press the power button.

Depending on the brand this feature might have another name.
