Have you ever seen the inside of a 9 VDC Battery?

Followup question. How many test a 9V battery with their tongue?
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I guess for those without a battery tester function on their volt-ohm meter (VOM) or without a VOM altogether, that may be the shocking truth to how many test their 9 VDC batteries. I was never able to get a good calibration on my tongue though to get an accurate reading of battery health. ;)

There are three voltage thresholds, yep dead, meh, and yikes!

I recall the older 9V carbon zinc batteries used 6 flat cells that were oval shaped and stacked inside the case. Now the tubular 6 x AAAA pack is prevalent. There were 22.5V photo flash batteries that were a long 15 cell version of the old style 9V battery.

:ROFLMAO: on the "taste test" of checking a 9VDC battery charge status... Also, I did not know that about the "old style 9V battery" and the photo flash batteries. I did a Google search for information but did not come up with anything. Perhaps I was using the wrong search terms and Boolean logic.

Been playing that game for years. As a kid, it was the variation of the tongue on the metal pole in A Christmas Story (albeit long before the movie came out) I also remember as a kid, my dad bringing an old, used 60VDC battery home from work. Never tried it on my tongue but wetting a couple of fingers on one hand and touching the poles made for a good little shock. Oh man, good times!
