Haverford Township Police dispatch has moved to DELCOM. I do not know what sector or frequency they have been put in. I believe it happened on 11/10/08. Would any one have the info?

For now, Haverford is still using their old UHF dispatch frequency with DELCOM doing the dispatching. I read somewhere that eventually, DELCOM will be establishing a Sector-7 that will handle Radnor, Marple, Newtown, and Haverford on a single channel. This will reduce the traffic level on Sector-2. I don't listen to Haverford all the time, but the few times I've been monitoring Delco this week, I've heard Haverford cars being dispatched on their own channel.

From what I understand Haverford will continue using their frequencies for police and fire for the foreseeable future. My understanding is Delco doesn't have enough money to get new freqs for Sector 7 so one of the rumors I've heard is that the two Haverford PD channels will become Sector 7. As far as the fire side, EMS is on MED B and the fire operations are still on their old channel. This is now Fire Channel 16. As far as I know, they will eventually move over to Fire 4 once the coverage issues are addressed but I personally think it's a good idea to keep them on their own channel like they do Upper Darby.
