having problems with audio on troy ny and Rensselaer County New York frequencies

i have put all of the frequencies into my scanner and i have been getting audio distortion on the both the troy Police, fire, ems channels and also on the Rensselaer County New York police, fire, ems. i am not sure if it has to do with the system transfer to the other new system. i have also noticed it on the Rensselaer County and Troy ny live feeds with the same problem

What kind of scanner are you using?

Both of those new systems are simulcast, and unfortunately neither of those scanners has the hardware needed to handle simulcast well.

I can only successfully monitor the Rensselaer County system on my Unication G5. If I try on either my 536HP or 996xt, it results in a mess regardless of what antenna I might try.

Yes I agree with Bob550. My G5 is the only radio that gets Rennselaer and Albany County crystal clear for me. Well worth it!
