Whenever I try to run t4win I get the following error reporting message:

"Trunker for windows has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Has not worked from the get go. I am running xp w/sp2

I would think it's an install problem or conflict with another program. I'm running XP Pro and I've never seen that.

Then again, I've never actually had the program work at all but I never got a Windows conflict error like that. It opens and operates but I've never been able to get it to do anything.

There is a companion program called "Tracer" that will display additional debug information. It was included with the ZIP file. If you don't have it, I can post here.

What version of T4Win are you running?

What files came with it (like DLLs)?

Do you have MSXML installed on your system?

Review the previous posts on installing T4Win, review the FAQ HTML file that comes with it, and post any additional questions here.

RFMobile: Yes it came with the debugger, if it runs alone then I'll see if it can help me, if it requires to be running t4win then its not possible.
I downloaded t4win pkg off of RR yesterday. So thats the version I have. I downloaded it, unzipped it and saved it all to a "t4win" file I created. Clicked on the t4win ant icon to start and I get the error message so the program won'even start. I have msxml installed (latest IE6 also). I also deleted the initial copy and downloaded again and reinstalled with same results. Also rebooted and ran scandisk.
I skimmed thru the inclu. faqs but didn't see an answer.
I'll also see about rummaging thru the archives to see if there's an answer buried somewhere.

I have it installed on another machine running windows 2000 pro and it works but don't seem to have enough processing power (a 366mhz machine) to run the program all the way as I only get around 30% decoding rate. So I installed on the newer aptop and thats where I stand. Any other tips to try?

I have a similar problem but a different error.

Running XP Pro 2002 w/SP2 on a Dell Inspiron. 0.94.0.6 runs okay, though it doesn't seem to play with the built-in SigmaTel audio device.

Copied and extracted files from the T4Win-0.94.0.8.zip file on rr.com to c:\Program Files\T4Win. It includes the libDecode.dll and libTrunk.dll files.

When I run T4Win.exe, I get a Visual C++ Runtime Library Error. "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way..."

Tracer is not included in the zip file on RR.

I'm having the same problem as n5gqb on my Win2000 machine. I had an older version of T4WIN, it installed from a self extracting file, and ran fine. The current zip file from RR does not contain the Tracer.exe program, but I have a copy from my earlier version. Below are the results from Tracer:

Thanks guys ...

That narrows it down considerably.

I haven't touched the T4Win source in months. Now that I've got P25 decoding that works I can fix this while merging in P25 capabilities.

I'm having the same problem. Running XP PRO 2002 SP2 on an older P450MMX with 296 MB of RAM. The T4WIN software I'm using was downloaded from the RR site. 0.94.0.0 beta is the version.

T4WIN works fine on my laptop though, running XP PRO on it also.

How do I know if I have MSXML on this machine? I'm showing my computer illiteracy by asking that question. Be kind!
