having trouble getting my pro 404 to turn on

Hello everybody I am having trouble getting my pro 404 to turn on I did what it said in the instructions still won't turn on don't show welcome message or anything and put several batteries in it all AA and all the same and still won't turn on what am i doing wrong here I am thinking about putting in brand new batteries or going to Radio shack and have them fix it

Try new batteries as you said. Or maybe there is a loose connection possibly. Try to plug adapter to wall and see if it that works.
