Encryption has become a safety issue now more than ever... So the Lahaina area had been encrypted (maybe the whole island/islands). Now learning that it may have contributed to deaths/loss of more property!
Burbank, which is partially wildfire-prone also went encrypted several weeks ago, which will affect the community for sure. Calls to city leaders have gone out, and I'm hearing of a bill supposed to pass blocking further encryption as a public safety threat.
I hope this gets more attention soon! I mean not all tacs etc. need to be public, but main dispatch for sure- Thoughts on this? I know a lot of you guys are more knowledgeable on this topic,.
