Haz-Mat Tanker Fire. U.S. Highway 82, approximately 6 miles west of El Dorado, near South Arkansas Regional Airport. Multiple agencies currently on-scene with a reported tractor trailer tanker fire. Radio traffic indicates tanker is loaded with Ammonium Nitrate. No accident or collision reported.
El Dorado FD has command of the scene. UCSO deputies are in the process of evacuating nearby residences and clearing traffic from the highway. EFD has additional personnel enroute to the scene.
Agencies on-scene: Union County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas State Police, El Dorado Fire Department, Cairo Volunteer Fire Department, Parker’s Chapel Volunteer Fire Department.
