Haz-Mat incident in Fairfax

Fairfax County Fire/ Rescue and Police are on the scene of an incident in the skyline towers area. Operations on FCPD Ch4 (mason) and Fairfax County Fire TGs 4C, 4D,4E. Currently 2 hours into the incident.

UPDATE: FCPD has switched to Coordination 2 so they can communicate with Pentegon PD

Operations are on E HAZMAT 1 talkgroup 19504.

I was listening to it yesterday, but just got around to posting the talkgroups. They moved PD and FD to talkgroups "coordination 2" and "coordination 3" (21264) for most of the perimeter work and overall handling. E HAZ 1 (19504) was specific to the hazmat team and decon. I regularly heard command and communication using TG 17715 but I'm not certain what that was. Also used during the event that are not on the list for Fairfax were 17139, 16947, 17235, 21376 and 17427. :?: This was just random traffic but around the scene.

Next time, I'll try to hook up the scanner to the computer in time to log all the groups used.

I have heard this talkgroup used mostly at night. On 3/17/05 I heard what sounded like two individuals testing what sounded like security zones (one was monitoring for a light activation so I assume the other party was tripping a sensor). That was followed by one of the individuals simply calling out numbers when I checked again later during the night. I also heard this same activity on 3/19/04. One time I heard it used during the day at West Springfield Highschool where individuals were monitoring traffic and car counting.
