Many tg's on Montgomery County, MD & NIH's trunked systems have fire/ems/police/hospital personnel engaging in what sounds like a large scale hazmat or chem/bio contamination exercise. Lots of previously quiet tg's being used.

On most HAZMAT incidents our operations talkgroup is 11I (Ida). Our entry teams (operating inside a incapsulated suit) will probably be using simplex channels in the near future. We just purchased ear/bone microphones for crews to communicate with that are hands-free (VOX) which works very well on simplex and very poorly while trying to transmit on a digital network.
