Hazmat in Englewood

52 cherry hills farm drive in englewood. Metcom has a ton of units at this house for a Hazmat situation. Unknown substance making people sick. FBI was requested to the scene along with the Red Cross and Xcel. O/F DTRS. Cherry Hill command on Metcom Ops 5

My guess is that they wanted the help of the FBI to figure out what was going on... At one time the hazmat team inside gave a reading of 190 on the CO meter.

Scene was just turned over to Cherry Hills PD. No units on scene need to be decon'd and source was CO.

CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE, Co. -- Saturday morning South Metro Fire responded to a home in Cherry Hills Village on a suspicious odor which made residence sick.

A total of seven people who were in the home, including two firefighters, were transported to Swedish Hospital.

For several hours Saturday morning South Metro’s hazardous materials unit investigated for the origin of the odor.

Turns out an SUV was left running in the garage of the residence which pump Carbon Monoxide into the home.

The conditions on five on the residence s transported are not known at this time. The two fire fighters are being treated and will be released shortly.
