Norman FD and PD responded to a "hazmat situation" at a bank at 36th and W Robinson. Sounded like someone opened an envelope and got sick, the bank had everyone locked inside at one point. Fire has called for engine 7 to respond with the hazmat also asked for 25-30 blankets. Fire is on FG-1 and PD is on Tac 2.

Sounds like they are decontaminating people now, i just heard an officer request a photographer not to photograph people removing their clothes. Norman is swamped today, just had an accident w/injury way out east.

Just heard, another branch possibly received a similar or same letter in Hichols Hills

HOLY COW

You'd like to think that the local news stations would make it really easy to click on streaming video, but I gave up looking and am listening to KTOK over the internet. Maybe they'll have something at the bottom of the hour news break.

EDIT: Which they covered up with commercials! - Outrageous!

EDIT: I went back to KFOR and there was a link at the top of the page that I don't think was there before - however - my media player is out of date - so I think I'll go back to work.

I just heard PD mention the media being across the street, also there is a helio hovering overhead now(this is about a mile from where i live), so i would think there should be something on the news soon. Dispatch just mentioned that they are going shut down part of 36th.
