Actually, it's technically a mono output but it is wired so you get sound out of both speakers when using a stereo headset.

Technically, it's a stereo jack as the OP asked. It just happens to have a single audio trace that goes to the left and right contacts of the stereo jack as intended by Uniden for use of stereo headphones. Uniden has been using stereo jacks for a while now.
