Alright, here is the idea.

I got a set of AudioVOX GMRS HTs/WTs which have a Mic/Ext Speaker/CHG jack on top that is just a 3.5mm jack.

The only problem is that when I plug in standard headphones it ends up making the HT/WT constantly keep TXing and then obviously nothing is heard through the headphones.

I just figured, since I hardly use my HTs/WTs, that I can just throw one in my pocket with a headphones/earpiece and just listen to FRS/GMRS around me and for laughs listen to my local Walmart when I am in or around there, who seems to mainly use Ch. 1.

Also, does anyone know what's going on with Walmart? Lately my Walmart has had tons of Managers around, and one guy made me laugh. He had a dark blue shirt, earpiece connected to his radio, and he kept walking around. Once I saw him, knelling down behind a merchandise case, just staring in to an isle at something. He was acting like a secret agent. Anyone else ever see anything like this?

Also, is it just me or does anyone else find it funny that one can often listen to Walmart with radios that you bought from Walmart? (Got these AudioVOX's right from Walmart for basically $20, which even though not great and awesome radios, but work nicely just to stay in touch in short distances.)

Problem Solved, Kinda....

Well, it seems like I found a working but odd solution.

I noticed that when you plug in regular headphones it just makes it constantly TX.

Though, I had some 3.5mm to RCA/Composite converters so I figured might as well use them.

So I took a 3.5mm to two female (red/white) RCA/Composite jacks, then took a two male RCA/Composite (red/white) jack back to a female 3.5mm jack.

Though between the RCA jacks, I found out you can only hook up the red and not the white otherwise you are simply back to TXing all the time. Even white only without red still does it.

Then I simply just plug a headphone extension cable then headphones in to the newly created 3.5mm female. I can only hear out of one ear, but that's all I want, so I can walk around stores and listen.
