Heads up folks, alot of the data on rr for Central Florida the Disney corridor is quite out of date. A ton of it has gone to DMR and have similar frequencies or in some cases the same as disney. Really bad coordination efforts to the allocation. Most police and fire stuff is encrypted 24/7, so automatically rule that out if your are so inclined. My updates will be going here, for you the radio listeners to sort out, since some people don't feel like updating the database to reflect the findings. You the people, can be the judges of what is correct or not correct shall you visit here. Enjoy my labor, ha ha

My updates will be going here, for you the radio listeners to sort out, since some people don't feel like updating the database to reflect the findings.

Before this turns into a jump on the DB Admin thread, let me explain why I rejected some of RADIOGUY2002's submissions. I've bolded the actual submissions:

Maybe part of this system, WPTS253 - UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA

452.0500
CC-1 CC-1
TG-12,21,41 ENCRPYTED

Frequency is part of the Radio One/Disney system and is licenced at the Contemporary Resort with the same color code. RADIOGUY2002 isn't even sure what he's hearing since the traffic is encrypted but given the fact that it's the same frequency, same color code, encrypted and on a very high building in Orange County, it's most likely Radio One/Disney.

Radio One (additional frequencies on the system)
451.8250 CC-1 TS 1 & 2

TG'S
2,8,10,19,30 All encrypted

Covers Orange and Osceola counties

This one was submitted as part of the Disney system and is already in the database. It's licenced on a very high hotel in the downtown Lake Buena Vista system, has the same color code as Radio One/Disney and is encrypted. It makes total sense that this is part of the system and since it's already in the database, it doesn't make any sense to re-add it.

Grande Lakes Orlando, not trbo. Look at the license.

This was submitted as part of the Grande Lakes Orlando system. It was originally entered by a DB Admin who's local to the Orlando area. We all know that the FCC Database isn't always correct and since we don't add or remove frequencies based on what the FCC Database says, it makes no sense to change the existing DB entry.

and finally:

SCHOOL BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY D/B/A CORNER LAKES MIDDLE SCHOOL, TS-1 CC-4

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how this can be entered into the database because no frequency was submitted!?! I've told RADIOGUY2002 if he resubmits it with a frequency, I'd be happy to enter it.

I've done quite a bit of scanning in the Orange County/Osceola County area since I own property there and I've done a lot of work with a local area monitor trying to map the Disney system. I'm confident that I've rejected these submissions properly based on my own local monitoring.

If RADIOGUY2002 can come up with further specifics as to who these frequencies actually belong to, I'd be happy to revisit the matter.

BTW, I responded to an email from RADIOGUY2002 and gave him the same explanations.

In all fairness, those dmr systems seem to be attached to specific disney hotels. Which in theory would not make them system wide users. Its possible that each asset has its own system which when you actually plot these, it makes sense from a logistical point of view. Also, radio one is preferred radio vendor in the area that has their own dmr system subsided from the disney assets. Do a little bit more homework before you rule out my findings or notes. Also, with these type of systems you would be seeing these talk groups appear across all the frequencies, not to mention the actual rr database does not reflect the actual site locations, IE:Site 1 etc. Plus it would seem rather redundant to have this many independent sites of the master site, considering the actual parks and actual tx sites. Oh, in case your unaware and not a disney expert Bay Lake is the major lake that connects all the property's, disney is its own taxing body, and the fire department (that's right their own fire department) operates on a encrypted trunked radio system and not on the dmr radio system at least not yet. Whats strange about the design is the system does not use the same assets as the fire radio system does. However, based on what your saying I would be super interested in this license WQQV217 (Bay Lake). WQTQ732-which is specific to the hotel in question, oh look who is the vendor. Also, can someone point me in the direction of where the actual uhf 454 frequency license is, oh wait if their not a license for their a trade secret on usage of 454 frequencies for a dealer as well, oops guess its out now.

454 freqs have been auctioned off over the last several years. I participated in several auctions when i was with a local vendor. The license covers specific economic areas (geographic areas) and you can place transmitters anywhere in your economic area for your specific frequency. Nothing shows in a basic FCC search. You also have to deal with people licensed on your freqs before you won the auction called incumbents. Also, FYI as of a few years ago, Disney's freqs for their LCP system were leased from the same group that owns the Suntalk network. TT

I'm quite familiar with how Disney and Reedy Creek operate having been a part time resident of Orlando for many years.

You might want to get a map out and check out Bay Lake. You'll find it does not link the entire area.

Disney has many sites (11 or so) which cover specific areas. There at least one wide area site and the rest are meant to cover specific areas only.

The groups do not appear across all the sites. This is a Capacity Plus system. You might want to read up on how Capacity Plus systems as you don't seem to understand how they work.

Anyways, I'm done. Your submissions were rejected for the reasons I listed above. I'm sorry you don't understand the reasons and I've done my best to try and explain it to you.

Enjoy your time in Orlando and at Disney.
