Plymouth PD, in montgomery county...testing out their 800mhz equiptment....i figure by the time they make the switch, if in fact they indeed are going to, that will prolly be the signal for me to buy a digital radio, but other than fire in montco, as well as "94pd and 32pd"....not too much digital around.

What town are you located Q-Ball? With a digital scanner you may be able to get Philly if you're close enough.

It won't do you any good for 94pd (Pottstown) since they're encrypted.

Still, it's about time that Plymouth decided to get with the rest of the county. Sounds like they did get their reception issues worked out.

That said, the Plymouth UHF channels came through pretty good in parts of the Exton area. When I was delivering papers in the area a few years ago, I'd pick up a couple of Plymouth PD roll calls, and it was a pretty good signal, IMHO.

According to my 'internal contact', Plymouth PD will be on the 800Mhz system full time within one month.
The 450 will be used as a 'private' channel, just like some other PDs in the area that have retained their conventional channels.
